The Upper Medway IDB is a leading flood risk management authority in the Medway catchment. Working under the Land Drainage Act, we perform statutory support works to protect the environment and communities. As a Sustainable Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our flood risk management activities and contributing to the development of sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of sustainable flood risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address environmental concerns
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure effective flood risk management
  • Provide technical expertise to support the delivery of flood risk management projects

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in a field such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
  • Experience in flood risk management or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
