About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance System Implementation and Project Manager to lead the implementation of our brand-new financial system. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and managing the end-to-end implementation process, ensuring that the system is thoroughly tested, delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation process, overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning to post-go-live support.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring that the project stays on track and meets its objectives.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders, including finance staff, department heads, and senior management, to gain a deep understanding of current systems, processes, and needs.
  • Implement new processes and controls, documenting all business requirements, processes, and workflows, and configuring the system to meet best practice in terms of local government financial accounting and end-user requirements.
  • Track project progress, providing regular reports to stakeholders, and overseeing the project, assigning tasks, and personally undertaking tasks to ensure smooth data transfer and set up.
  • Plan and manage the successful migration of historical data from the old system to the new system, and manage user training and change management initiatives to facilitate system adoption.
