Forklift Operator Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at Aviation Network Heathrow. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading parcels, freight, and cargo from vehicles, building and breaking down aircraft pallets, and working on a busy parcel sorting line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to load and unload parcels, freight, and cargo from vehicles.
  • Build and break down aircraft pallets to meet airline specifications.
  • Work on a busy parcel sorting line, moving parcels from aircraft containers.
  • Scan cargo and complete airfreight documentation.
  • Drive airside to transport cargo.

Requirements:

  • A valid counterbalance FLT license or certification.
  • Experience as a Warehouse Operative or cargo operative is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • A valid UK driving license.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £15.12 p/h rising to £16.12 p/h after probation.
  • Overtime opportunities after successful completion of probation at £29.56 p/h.
  • Free uniform and cargo operative training.
  • Weekly or monthly pay.
  • Free parking.
