Job Title: Senior Ecologist
Location: Southern Region
Salary: Circa £45,000
Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a passionate Senior Ecologist to contribute to the delivery of ecological services across a range of exciting projects. As a key member of the in-house environmental team, you will conduct Ecological Site Surveys, produce Preliminary Ecological Assessments, and assist in Ecological Impact and Habitat Regulation Assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Ecological Site Surveys and produce Preliminary Ecological Assessments
- Assist in Ecological Impact and Habitat Regulation Assessments
- Lead and assist in Protected Species Surveys
- Play an active role in data analysis, report writing, and designing mitigation measures
Requirements:
- Protected Species Licence(s)
- Knowledge of UK protected species and relevant legislation
- Proficiency with GIS or mapping software
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the southern region
- Project management experience
