About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school near Walton-on-Thames. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASC, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with classroom activities, implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Be a source of motivation, encouragement, and positivity for your students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children who have additional learning needs or challenging behaviour is desirable, but not essential.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Have the passion and drive to work with children and be able to use your own initiative to get involved.
