Job Title: Production Sewing Machinist

Funk Motorsport is a leading manufacturer of heat protection materials and blankets for the automotive industry. We are seeking experienced sewing machinists to work full-time in our Harlow facility.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our production team and be part of a project offering consistent, ongoing work. As a sewing machinist, you will operate sewing machines to mass-produce heat protection products based on existing designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sewing machines to produce heat protection products with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with heat-resistant materials while adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate PPE.
  • Follow detailed production processes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and output.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Contribute to the preparation of restock runs of existing product lines as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a sewing machinist, particularly with heavy-duty materials.
  • Ability to work with heat-resistant fabrics and specialized threads.
  • Experience in mass production or working in a high-output manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality in repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work with existing designs; no design work required.
  • Familiarity with Juki machines is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with thick or tough materials is advantageous.
