Groundworker Apprentice Role

FM Conway is seeking a Groundworker Apprentice to join our Major Projects division, working on sites around London and Kent. As a Groundworker Apprentice, you will work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviors needed to become a successful Groundworker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out trial holes during site investigations
  • Working on excavation works
  • Assisting with service spotting
  • Learning how to grade formations supporting the excavator team
  • Learning how to do ducting, trenching, and installing
  • Working on drainage works
  • Learning how to kerb lay with slabs, blocks, and natural stone

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Reliability, hard work, and an interest in the construction industry
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm to learn and develop
