Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated care professional to support a client who has recently returned home following a brain injury. Our client requires ongoing reassurance and support to regain confidence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, ensuring they receive the assistance they need with daily activities while promoting independence and dignity.

Duties include:

  • Assisting our client with basic personal care tasks, mostly through prompting.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client's condition to healthcare professionals.
  • Supporting our client to engage in preferred activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation, such as visiting the gym or coffee shop.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Transporting our client to appointments or social outings using your own vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport. Mileage is reimbursed, and you will require business insurance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in home care or a similar role is essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately.
  • Strong clear communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and families.
  • A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as needed.
  • IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively.
  • A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus mileage reimbursement and opportunities for career development.
