Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PhD Research Associate to join our team at University College London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computational fluid dynamics and/or physics-informed machine learning, with a proven track record of research in these areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct computational modelling of aerosol dispersion due to human breathing, towards understanding transmission risk of airborne diseases in hospital spaces.
  • Develop and apply core competencies to produce world-class research into a wider range of engineering challenges.
  • Work in close synergy with experimental fluid mechanics, materials, microbiology, and nanotechnology experts, as well as clinicians to facilitate rapid translation of technology to clinic.
Requirements
  • Holder of a PhD in fluid mechanics and/or related areas.
  • Excellent track record of research in computational fluid dynamics and/or physics-informed machine learning.
  • Ability to take initiatives and engage in challenging cross-disciplinary research.
