Job Title: QA Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our Technical Team at Pilgrim’s Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet integrity and specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that one-page specs for products are on the line prior to start up
  • Conduct daily calibration checks of probes and ensure accurate results
  • Responsible for changing the threshold on metal detectors and conducting fat tests for the Mince line only
  • Conduct pre and post-production checks, including Gas, average weight, metal detector, finish product, pre-despatch and despatch
  • Responsible for taking lab samples and conducting meat content analysis
  • Checking labels for accuracy against specification and product
  • % Pick up sheet for powders BBQ only
  • Conducting Retail pack tare checks on catch weights
  • Conducting scale verification
  • T2 chart (check scale is running average weight)
  • Completing random checks on lines to see if any old scan labels have been left
  • Machine Mind including labellers and Sealpac
