We are seeking an experienced Children's Nurse to join our team as a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Children's Assessment Unit at Colchester Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing and developing the nursing team, and contributing to the delivery of safe and effective care to children and families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, recognition, prioritisation, and evaluation of children with minor injuries or serious illnesses. You will also be responsible for managing and developing the nursing team, providing professional and clinical leadership, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, recognition, prioritisation, and evaluation of children with minor injuries or serious illnesses
- Manage and develop the nursing team, providing professional and clinical leadership
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring safe and effective care to children and families
- Develop the role of the Paediatric Nurse Practitioner/Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner, assisting in meeting the standard of all children being assessed, treated, and discharged/admitted within 4 hours of arrival
