Tax Specialist

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Tax Advisor to join their team in Chester. As a Specialist Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients, ensuring they are compliant with all tax regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and analyze changing tax legislation in the UK and overseas
- Meet with clients to discuss their tax needs and provide personalized advice
- Work with tax law and revenue provisions to ensure clients are in compliance
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients to resolve any tax issues
- Develop tax strategies for clients to minimize their tax liability
- Carry out detailed computations to calculate tax liability and provide advice on how to minimize it
- Establish and structure family trusts to ensure clients' financial security
- Estate planning and advising on tax residence and domicile matters
- Drafting of wills and Power of Attorney documentation
- Providing guidance on indirect taxation issues such as VAT, customs planning, and environmental taxes
- Producing reports and presentations for clients
- CTA qualified preferred, but not essential
- Excellent numeracy skills and a logical and analytical mind
- Ability to interpret and explain complex legislation to non-specialists
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills and planning and organization skills
- Problem-solving skills and time management
- Attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
- Tact and discretion, as most of the work is confidential
- Commercial awareness and a methodical approach to record-keeping
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
