Job Title: Specialist Tax Advisor

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Tax Advisor to join their team in Chester. As a Specialist Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients, ensuring they are compliant with all tax regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze changing tax legislation in the UK and overseas
  • Meet with clients to discuss their tax needs and provide personalized advice
  • Work with tax law and revenue provisions to ensure clients are in compliance
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients to resolve any tax issues
  • Develop tax strategies for clients to minimize their tax liability
  • Carry out detailed computations to calculate tax liability and provide advice on how to minimize it
  • Establish and structure family trusts to ensure clients' financial security
  • Estate planning and advising on tax residence and domicile matters
  • Drafting of wills and Power of Attorney documentation
  • Providing guidance on indirect taxation issues such as VAT, customs planning, and environmental taxes
  • Producing reports and presentations for clients
Requirements:
  • CTA qualified preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent numeracy skills and a logical and analytical mind
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex legislation to non-specialists
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation skills and planning and organization skills
  • Problem-solving skills and time management
  • Attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
  • Tact and discretion, as most of the work is confidential
  • Commercial awareness and a methodical approach to record-keeping
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
