About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join our team at Allstaff Recruitment. As a Maintenance Surveyor, you will be responsible for undertaking annual stock condition surveys, raising work orders for in-house staff and external contractors, and producing accurate and concise reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake annual stock condition surveys to identify maintenance needs and priorities.
- Raise work orders for in-house staff and external contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Produce accurate and concise reports to stakeholders, including management and clients.
- Manage contractors and monitor their progress to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Carry out inspections and diagnose building defects, and produce specifications for repair and maintenance work.
- Specify and implement thermal improvement works, including energy-efficient solutions for older or listed buildings.
- Prepare tender documentation and project manage contract works to ensure successful delivery.
- Program, financially control, and administer maintenance projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Produce accurate estimates for building works, taking into account materials, labor, and equipment costs.
Requirements:
- Previous building maintenance experience is essential, with a strong understanding of building standards, planning regulations, and regulatory standards.
- Experience managing and maintaining historic buildings would be highly advantageous, as would experience in contract administration.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and CAD software, with experience with Qube and MS Project being advantageous.
