Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom with basic themed topics and more specific communication and life skills
  • Assist in creating a fun and engaging learning environment that caters to individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers to develop personalized learning plans and strategies
  • Provide practical support to students with physical disabilities and other complex needs
  • Contribute to the development of vocational courses that equip students with skills for life and employment

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • DBS certificate (or eligibility to apply)
