Job Title: Team Leader for Children and Young People

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team in Bexley. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of practitioners working with children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of practitioners to ensure high-quality services are delivered to children and young people in care.
  • Develop and implement local policies and service improvement strategies to enhance the lives of care leavers.
  • Liaise with multi-agency partners to provide comprehensive support to young adults leaving care and their families.
  • Represent the local authority in a professional and competent manner, particularly in court and with families.
  • Ensure timely responses and actions are taken to contacts, referrals, allocations, complaints, and child protection enquiries.
  • Maintain regular supervision and appraisal of workers' performance, including case management oversight and reflective practice.
  • Chair strategy, review, planning, professional, and network meetings as required.
  • Be available after hours to support workers dealing with crisis and casework responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Previous management or supervisory experience in children and families services, including Leaving Care.
  • Knowledge of children's health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience of community and/or group work.
