Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at PDA Search and Selection Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several sites.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs (Predictive Maintenance Schedules) to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with any major or minor maintenance work.
  • Complete PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and according to laid-down procedures.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk, assess the requirements of the job, and carry out repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
  • Attend other depots as required to carry out work.
  • Attend training courses as necessary, complying with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Work with company and Co-op colleagues to maintain laid-down standards of quality. Assist City teams when requested.
  • Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships with City and CO-OP colleagues.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPIs.
  • Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct process and maintain accurate Time Sheets as required.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in Building Structures/Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Full Clean UK driving license is essential.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  • Response to service call requests within agreed response times.
  • Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
  • Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy.
