Job Title: Senior Nuclear Engineer - Mechanical Systems

Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per year

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nuclear Engineer - Mechanical Systems to join our team at Assystem GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering critical equipment to nuclear sites, ensuring the success of projects such as Emergency and Ultimate Diesel Generators (EDG/UDG).

You will work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure equipment meets stringent nuclear safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment and auxiliary systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing high-value contracts for nuclear equipment;
  2. Evaluating equipment for nuclear safety and regulatory compliance;
  3. Overseeing supplier activities and managing technical configurations;
  4. Managing contract execution and reviewing contractor deliverables;
  5. Authoring technical documentation to ensure alignment with nuclear safety standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • Extensive knowledge of moving mechanical equipment, such as rotating equipment and auxiliary systems;
  • Experience in the design, analysis, and testing of safety-classified equipment used in power stations;
  • Desirable skills include experience with EPR or PWR nuclear design.
