About this role
The Enforcement Agent will be responsible for enforcing Warrants and Liability orders for outstanding debt owed to the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. This will include Council Tax, PCNs, FPNs, and NNDRs. The role requires providing ethical enforcement throughout the Borough and adjacent postcodes, working predominantly on their own but with the support of a compliance team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage case management, undertaking necessary research and due diligence
- Develop relationships with other departments within the council to maximise positive outcomes
- Signpost vulnerable residents to support services
- Work out of hours and weekends if required
About you
The ideal candidate will have an ability to negotiate, convince, and influence while remaining clear and courteous under sometimes difficult circumstances. They will also understand where a customer requires further support or advice to ensure their longer-term financial sustainability and wellbeing.
