Brook Street NMR is seeking a skilled Court Usher to support the efficient operation of court proceedings at Teesside Crown Court, with occasional assignments at other sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist court clerks in creating accurate court log reports
  • Provide support to vulnerable adults and children during court hearings
  • Take initiative to complete tasks based on hearing outcomes without explicit instructions
  • Communicate effectively with Legal Advisors, Judiciary members, and the public
  • Maintain and update system databases and records
  • Perform general administrative duties as required
Requirements
  • Excellent IT and data entry skills
  • Resilience in handling potentially distressing information
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage challenging situations
  • Effective prioritization and planning abilities
  • A transferable DBS on the update system is highly advantageous
