About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance professional to lead our EMEA Compliance team. As Head of Compliance, EMEA, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective compliance programs across all OKX entities in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic direction, training, and advisory support for Compliance across all OKX entities in EMEA.
  • Manage country Heads of Compliance/MLROs to develop robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks.
  • Engage cross-functionally with teams such as Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk to implement an effective compliance management program.
  • Monitor and assess compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, including MiCA, GDPR, and similar types of regulation regionally.
  • Lead Compliance reporting in the region, including reports to senior management, management committees, and the board.
  • Oversee ongoing regulatory engagement in the region with all key regulators.
  • Act as the first point of contact for business team members in compliance issues and advise accordingly.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance in financial services, FinTech, or cryptocurrency industries.
  • Knowledge of Compliance and regulatory risks for the crypto industry.
  • Extensive experience of overseeing an effective compliance management program in line with EU/UK standards and an awareness of local and international industry best practices.
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant US and EU laws and requirements (AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, privacy) and managing regulatory engagements.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
