About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Sonas Hotel Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct kitchen operations, including quality control, standards, and cleanliness.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and hotel management team to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations, monitoring business levels and managing departmental costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and profit growth, while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, through effective communication and regular team meetings.
  • Lead by example, driving standards of operation and ensuring successful leadership, training, and development for all team members.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team, with a focus on succession planning and career development.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and implement operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Deputize for the Executive Chef in their absence, ensuring seamless leadership and continuity.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and a drive to grow and develop yourself and your team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
