Ecologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist / ECoW to join our talented Ecology team at Assystem. As an integral member of our team, you will provide ecological expertise to support our clients in delivering sustainable projects.

As an Ecologist / ECoW, you will be responsible for assessing, managing and monitoring ecological constraints on construction sites. You will work closely with our Consent team and sub-contractors to ensure ecological compliance and undertake inspections.

The role involves:

• Conducting ecological surveys prior to site clearance;
• Liaising with the client's core environment & sustainability and project management teams;
• Conducting proactive ecological risk management;
• Supporting the production and delivery of toolbox talks to the production team and sub-contractors;
• Analysing and interpreting ecological data;
• Contributing to a culture of continual improvement of on-site ecological practice that is solution-oriented to support construction teams;

You will work on high-profile projects such as the construction of High Speed 2, requiring your expertise in ecological surveys, risk management, and compliance.
