Job Title: Engagement Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to join our team at the Canal & River Trust. As a key member of our regional team, you will be responsible for delivering funded and income-generating community engagement projects in the London and South East region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional community development strategies, working closely with the Community Development Manager to identify opportunities and deliver against targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external funders, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead and manage regional events, workshops, and activities, promoting the Trust's brand and engaging with local communities.
  • Work with colleagues to develop and deliver volunteering strategies, identifying opportunities and supporting recruitment campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures, promoting diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in community engagement, partnership development, and project management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and travel.
  • Knowledge of the charity sector, with a passion for promoting the Trust's values and mission.

What We Offer:

  • An annual salary of £39,588 + £4k per annum Inner London Allowance.
  • A competitive contributory DC Pension scheme arrangement.
  • 25 days paid holiday, plus paid Bank Holidays, increasing to 27 days plus Bank Holidays after 3 years.
