Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisor to join our team at Legado Recruitment. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients, ensuring they are compliant with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

• Prepare and submit tax returns for individuals and businesses, including self-assessment tax returns and capital gains tax computations.
• Advise clients on tax implications of investments, including employee share options, foreign income, and self-employment.
• Prepare profit and loss accounts for the self-employed and landlords, and undertake capital gains tax computations.
• Deal with HMRC enquiries and reconciling the tax position up to the date of death.
• Annual trust accounts and tax returns, estate tax returns for the administration period, and tax implications and compliance for trust set up and termination.
• Complex taxation of discretionary settlements, inheritance tax advice and compliance for relevant property trusts, capital gains tax advice and compliance, and income tax advice and compliance in relation to trusts and estates.
• International tax compliance, including FATCA.

• STEP qualification would be preferable but not essential.
• Candidates undertaking STEP will also be considered.
• Experience and knowledge in the following fields: self-assessment tax returns, claiming reliefs for investment schemes, preparing profit and loss accounts, undertaking capital gains tax computations, dealing with HMRC enquiries, and reconciling the tax position up to the date of death.
