Childcare Team Lead

We are recruiting for a Childcare Team Lead to join Huntress on a permanent basis. This role is based in Brighton and involves working Monday to Thursday, 11am - 6.

The salary for this position is between £25,350 - £29,250 per annum, pro rata (DOE).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day activities of the Deputy Manager, Play Workers, Bank Staff, and Volunteers.
  2. Organise meetings and conduct supervision, training, and appraisals with all staff/volunteers.
  3. Ensure the team understands and meets children's individual needs in accordance with their care plans.
  4. Build relationships with parents/carers and act as the primary point of contact for all enquiries.
  5. Support with general administration tasks such as completing daily and annual Risk Assessments and other documentation.
  6. Implement Environmental Health inspection recommendations and maintain high food hygiene standards.
  7. Monitor equipment for safety and report to the Community Partnerships Manager for repairs/replacement if required.
  8. Assist the Operations Manager with other ad hoc tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of team management in a childcare setting.
  2. Ideal qualification to Level 3 in Childcare.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
