About the Opportunity
At Jacobs, we're seeking a skilled Commercial Contracts Manager to join our Technology, Consulting and Innovation (TC&I) business. This is an exciting opportunity to provide effective and compliant contracting support to our clients, ensuring that work tendered and undertaken is on a sound commercial basis.
The successful candidate will provide commercial support to pre-contract activities, including contract review documentation, proposal reviews, and client negotiations. Post-contract, they will manage commercial plans, sub-contracting, and dispute resolution, ensuring commercial governance and providing guidance to the business.
As a Commercial Contracts Manager, you will work closely with our Legal team, attending Operational Reviews and Green Reviews to assess business needs and ensure all risks are covered. You will also manage 360-degree stakeholder relationships and provide commercial guidance to the business.
This is a commercial role, primarily focused on risk, legal, and pricing, with some sales activities. If you have a strong background in contract management and a passion for delivering commercial excellence, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-contract commercial activities – Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of contract review documentation, ensuring the commercial robustness of proposals including reviewing contracts (ROMs, offers, NDA, pre-teaming agreements, etc.) and negotiating with clients.
- Post-contract commercial management including building and updating Commercial Plans, sub-contracting, supporting change and variations, and involvement in dispute resolution.
- Reviewing and supporting various agreements such as JV's, Consortiums, NDA's, Bonds and Guarantees
- Ensuring Commercial Governance and providing commercial guidance to the business
- Attending Operational Reviews to assess the needs of the Business and Operational Teams for Commercial support.
- Attending Green Reviews to ensure all risks are covered before submitting an offer.
- Work hand-in-hand as business partner to the Legal team
