Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis, reporting, and tracking. You will work on your own initiative and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems.
The successful candidate will have completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and have experience in a continuous process environment. They will have a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis, as well as experience with compressed air systems, furnaces, heating systems, rolling mills, gearboxes, motors, and pumps.
Your Skills & Strengths
- Must be time served in a Mechanical Engineering Discipline, with good numeracy and literacy skills.
- IPAF/BAA/Gas/FLT Certification would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to read and work with hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
- Preference given to factory industrial background.
Shift Patterns
We offer a range of shift patterns to suit your needs, including dayshift, nightshift, and backshift. Our dayshift hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00 and Friday 07:30 - 13:00. Our nightshift hours are Monday 21:15 - 07:00 and Tuesday - Thursday 21:45 - 07:00. Our backshift hours are Sunday 21:00 - 07:30 and Monday 16:00 - 21:00, Tuesday - Thursday 16:00 - 21:00.
