Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sheffield, Edinburgh or Glasgow office. This role will support our growing workload and impressive portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects in the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will have a proven technical and project management track record, with experience in mentoring junior staff and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or geology, with a postgraduate qualification in geotechnical experience and post-chartered status as either a geologist or civil engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven design experience in highways, rail, or water geotechnics.
  • Strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc or equivalent) and Chartered status.
  • Project management experience and understanding of the engineering consultancy and design markets.
  • Application of CDM Regulations in design and ground investigation environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, technical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills with self-checking accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel on short assignments within the UK and overseas.

This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
