About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cook to join our team at Akari Care Limited. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional culinary experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to individual needs and preferences
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal service
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive dining environment
  • Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements
  • City & Guilds 706 - 1&2, or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Head chef or Head Cook experience with similar environment/surrounding
  • Supervisory or Line Management experience
  • A caring nature to give everyone a personal approach
  • Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team and delegate effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
  • Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated
