Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities and interventions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and mental health of students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEMH support are desirable but not essential.
