SEN Education Support Worker

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Education Support Worker to join our team at a Secondary SEN school. As a vital member of our staff, you will provide one-to-one support to a pupil with Autism and Hearing Impairment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualized support to the student using Makaton training and BSL knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and share updates with relevant stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Autism, Makaton training, and foundational BSL. A positive attitude, creativity, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with Autism (Autism Awareness training is preferred).
  • Makaton training.
  • Experience working in schools and knowledge of working against a support plan/behavior plan.
  • Foundational BSL.
  • Experience of working with Hearing impairment.
  • A positive, caring, and proactive attitude.
  • Creativity.
Salary:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
