Mechanical Designer Position

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team at Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and attention to detail to contribute to the development of innovative products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Microsoft AX to create and manage items, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and production routes.
  • Review BOMs and production routes prior to Engineering Quality Control (QC) to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects independently with strong organizational skills.
  • Meet project deadlines and deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: University or college degree in a mechanical-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of design experience, preferably in bulk material handling, industrial, or custom steel fabrication.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing environments, such as production planning.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English proficiency, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: High level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft AX (preferred), and advanced skills in AutoCAD and Inventor (mandatory);
  • Adherence to Standards: Ability to follow established protocols and quality standards consistently.
Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
