Job Description

TQR is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for bringing Engineering knowledge to support NPIs, drive cost reduction activities, improve quality, and reduce risks within the supply chain.

This role requires a deep understanding of specifications, drawings, and technical data provided by the engineering team. You will use market and industry intelligence to identify, vet, and qualify new suppliers, and identify risks and threats in the Supply Chain. You will rank these risks and address them by providing solutions for mitigation of the highest risks, developing new sources or strengthening the existing sources.

You will also identify inventory reduction opportunities and take action to implement them. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics. You will drive inventory reduction and track savings made on sourcing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support NPIs with Engineering knowledge
  • Drive cost reduction activities
  • Improve quality and reduce risks within the supply chain
  • Use market and industry intelligence to identify new suppliers
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the Supply Chain
  • Implement inventory reduction opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing and contracting policies
  • Drive inventory reduction and track savings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience within a similar procurement role gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • End-to-End supply chain knowledge
  • Excel and SAP proficiency
