About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Worcester, where you will be working with three individuals with learning disabilities, Down syndrome, and autism. The successful candidate will provide daily living support, empowering independence, and promoting a good quality of life.

Job Summary

  • Provide personal care, meal support, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry as needed.
  • Support with medication, including epilepsy medication, which is well managed.
  • Empower independence by supporting individuals to live their lives how they choose and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet.
  2. Prepare healthy meals and snacks, considering dietary needs and preferences.
  3. Support with household chores, including cleaning and laundry.

Requirements

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • Able to work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-ins.
