Tersus is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to conduct fire safety risk assessments and provide recommendations for remedial actions in accordance with current fire safety regulations.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, usually 08.30 to 17.30, and will be responsible for producing clear and concise fire safety reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fire safety risk assessments and provide recommendations for remedial actions
  • Produce fire safety reports and present findings to clients
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to schedule appointments and discuss assessment findings
  • Provide fire safety advice and guidance to clients to help them meet their legal requirements
  • Conduct fire safety training sessions for clients and their employees
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices
  • Attend client meetings as required

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety
  • Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments
  • Familiarity with assessment applications such as Riskbase
  • Knowledge of current fire safety regulations and legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential fire hazards
  • A proactive approach to work and a commitment to achieving objectives
  • A full driving license is required as this role may involve travel to different locations
