Job Description

The Data Protection Officer - TRG will be responsible for building and managing TRG's privacy programme, developing privacy policies for internal use, and describing privacy requirements for business partners and service providers. They will facilitate regulatory compliance by establishing and coordinating TRG's Privacy Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain TRG's privacy programme, including resulting privacy policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure enterprise-wide coverage of the privacy discipline.
  • Work with procurement, supplier management, and the legal department to ensure third-party suppliers' contracts meet international privacy requirements.
  • Implement and maintain an internal reporting mechanism for intended (new or changed) personal data processing activities.
  • Notify data protection authorities of processing activities and/or obtain guidance where required.
  • Communicate with regulatory authorities and the public concerning privacy issues.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, law, finance, accounting, computer science, or a related discipline is required. A combination of a legal or business degree with a technical or computer science degree is preferred.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market conditions. Additional benefits include a competitive pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave entitlement.
