Senior Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Aldwych Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for producing engineering designs throughout the project lifecycle, spanning planning applications, detailed designs of drainage, highways, public realm, SUDS, and building drainage for major infrastructure and various developments.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to contribute to sustainable projects across the UK. You will work closely with our experienced team to navigate the technical and policy intricacies of various projects, spanning residential, health, education, retail, energy, leisure, and employment sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Producing engineering designs for planning applications, detailed designs of drainage, highways, public realm, SUDS, and building drainage
- Collaborating with the team to ensure excellent results throughout the project lifecycle
- Applying design codes and standards like Manual for Streets, SuDS Manual, and more
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
- HNC or BEng in Civil Engineering
- Background in consultancy or private sector development with experience in residential projects
- Proficiency in preparing highway and drainage designs for private and adoptable works
- Skill in producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes, including 3D modeling software, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with legal, planning, and technical procedures for new developments and regeneration projects
