Sanitation Specialist

As a Sanitation Specialist at Hygiene Group Limited, you will be responsible for ensuring that the premises of a well-established confectionery manufacturer in Middlewich, Cheshire are maintained to necessary hygiene standards.

Your key duties will include:

• Cleaning offices and canteen areas
• Maintaining vending machines
• Litter picking and bin emptying in external areas

In addition, you may be required to work occasional additional hours to cover holidays.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards
• Correctly disposing of waste material in accordance with the client's environmental systems
• Alerting the Contract Manager to any issues that may impact upon the integrity of cleaning
• Participating in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues

Along with a high standard of work ethics, you will also require:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work to time constraints both on your own initiative and as part of a team
• The ability to follow procedures thoroughly
• A positive and approachable manner
• An enthusiasm for a varied working environment

Previous experience in cleaning and/or a food manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
