About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Shift Leader to join our team at Wienerberger België. As a Production Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of production operatives to achieve their production, quality, and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the team on a daily basis
  • Addressing/reporting Health and Safety issues
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are achieved and that is used where needed
  • Monitor quality in all areas of production
  • Monitor process control reports
  • Plan to ensure all materials and equipment needed is available to run the shift for production
  • Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled in
  • Work closely with the maintenance department
  • Work with shift leadership and plant management on all aspects of production
  • Assist in the implementation of quality and environmental management
  • Act as the first point of contact for your team members sickness or absence
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Production Operative in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with supervision/line management or have the right transferable skills to offer, such as coaching, addressing performance issues, motivating others, managing change, conflict resolution, administration skills, resource planning and organisation
  • Best practice in relation to health & safety standards and experience with continuous improvement activities
  • An adaptable style, comfortable managing change and adjusting priorities to help the factory achieve its goals
  • Experience with 5s and Gemba duties
  • Experience of writing detailed Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge of SOPs and SWP
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Confidence and a positive attitude
  • Desirable – heavy clay manufacturing industry experience
