Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced technician to maintain the smooth operation of our terminal equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining accessibility and reliability of cranes and mobile equipment, as well as carrying out planned maintenance, repairs, and project-related work.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient running of terminal operations by performing preventive maintenance and repair works according to company safety standards.
  • Collect data while working on assets and provide it to Engineering Planners.
  • Manage and supervise contractors during equipment delivery and commissioning or while working on any asset, ensuring safe working practices are followed.
  • Support the development and improvement of method statements and risk assessments for preventive maintenance or repairs.
  • Lead by example and encourage others to implement safe working practices.
  • Work closely with stores and Asset Managers to maintain inventory and stock levels.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.) and have excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance, ideally with experience in gear boxes, engines, hydraulics, lifting equipment, and basic electrical engineering. Experience with HSE regulations related to equipment maintenance and activities is also essential.

Salary

Our salary package for this role includes an estimated annual salary of £45,000 - £60,000 based on location and experience, depending on qualifications and skills.
