Job Details:

We are seeking a skilled academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Literature. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and contributing to the development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in English Literature.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term contract position that will run for 7 months from January 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach modern and contemporary literature, contribute to curriculum and programme development, and participate in administrative roles within the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a PhD in a relevant field of English and Scottish Literature, with experience of teaching and assessing students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will also need to have expertise in one or more areas such as digital humanities, economic humanities, environmental humanities, health humanities, LGBTQ+ studies, postcolonial, transnational, and/or diasporic literary studies.

Salary Information:

The salary for this role is £40,247.00 - £47,874.00 per annum, depending on experience.
