Key Responsibilities

The Network Architect will provide technical oversight and direction to a team of both onshore and offshore network engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Design Authority on behalf of the client for assurance of the high-and low-level designs covering security, contractual and service considerations.
  • Creating and implementing an overall technical architecture roadmap and strategy that maximizes the return on technology investment, reduces technical debt.
  • Accountable for integration of the new third-party SDWAN and hosted voice solutions.
  • Security management, documentation and reporting.
  • Drive Automation roadmap.
  • Perform network modelling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
  • Provide technical and thought leadership in conjunction with strategic oversight to assure business outcomes are delivered by the solution.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and third-party vendor stakeholders.
  • Responsible for holding third parties to account for technical and operational aspects of the design.
  • Help translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ensure integration of the third-party solutions into existing technology and business systems.
  • Guide and mentor technical development in the engineering & Service team.
  • Create and review impact of change.
  • Create reports and technology roadmaps and convey insights to relevant people.
  • Consistently ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices.
  • Staying up to date on emerging technologies and trends, and developing expertise in specific areas of networking, such as cloud computing, software-defined networking (SDN), or network security & Automation.
