Electrical Maintenance Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Kingston Barnes, offering sponsorship and training opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks, including reactive and pre-planned maintenance on machines.

About the Job

The role involves working within the packing facility with other engineers to carry out maintenance tasks. This includes grading machines, pumps, shaft drives, hydraulics, pneumatics or three-phase motors, invertors, drives and automated machinery.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as experience with fault finding and machine improvements. They will also be able to report to the engineering manager and site services manager effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carrying out reactive and PPM tasks
  • Maintenance of grading machines, pumps, shaft drives, hydraulics, pneumatics or three-phase motors, invertors, drives and automated machinery
  • Fault finding and machine improvements
Requirements
  • Open to candidates with an electrical apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC Level 1,2,3 or similar, or experience but must have a minimum qualification in engineering
  • Fundamental experience of mechanical & electrical maintenance (Training provided)
  • On-the-job training will be provided (Will be sent on NVQ courses as well (Mech or Elec))
