BT Group seeks a skilled Site Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will ensure the operational stability and performance of our systems across CRM, workflow, IIP, and Field operations. You will focus on driving the adoption of operational best-practices across our platforms and optimizing service levels across our systems. The successful candidate will also represent our technology at senior stakeholder level on operational performance, trading, and service reliability.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SRE practices across mid/large tier organizations
  • Conduct thorough investigations into reliability and scaling issues from both a code and infrastructure perspective
  • Leverage continuous integration and/or continuous deployment tools and scripting to deliver solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless incident management and resolution
  • Implement automation to reduce work throughputs and improve service levels
  • Develop and maintain scalable Docker containers, ideally on Kubernetes
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and apply latest security patches
  • Build key critical skills across the team and support cultural change through execution of how systems need to be supported
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration and/or continuous deployment tools and scripting
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microservices architecture and scalable Docker containers
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and ability to apply latest security patches
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
