We are seeking a highly committed Clinical Nurse Specialist in Viral Hepatitis to join the Infectious Diseases Service in Worcestershire.

Job Overview

This exciting opportunity comes at a particularly interesting time in the field of Hepatitis. We are closely linked via a regional network to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

About the Role

You will be joining a well-established ID service with 2 ID consultants, a hepatologist, ID registrar, ID pharmacist, HIV CNSs, Community Hepatitis CNS, and healthcare assistants. Your main duties will include:

  • Undertaking nurse-led clinics at all 3 sites as well as participating in consultant-led clinics.
  • Initiating, implementing, and managing nurse-led clinics within the Acute Trust setting.
  • Delivering highly specialised care to patients receiving treatment for viral hepatitis.
  • Maintaining a hepatitis database.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Clinical audit and application of research skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Health education, promotion skills.
  • A strong knowledge base regarding Hepatitis and HIV.
  • Experience of fibro scanning or willingness to learn.
