We are seeking a skilled warehouse operative/van driver to join our team at N H Global (UK) Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Shrink wrap and package steel stock accurately and efficiently
  2. Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy working environment through general warehouse maintenance
  3. Operate the company van for deliveries and utilize a forklift for loading and unloading tasks
  4. Demonstrate basic English reading and writing proficiency, along with computer literacy
  5. Exercise initiative and utilize strong communication skills
  6. Possess honesty, punctuality, and a strong work ethic with flexibility in working hours
  7. This position requires manual handling, thus physical fitness is essential
  8. A skilled van driver capable of efficient deliveries is an ideal candidate

Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently while supporting warehouse operations. With core skills in materials handling and warehouse experience, you will excel in tasks such as stocking, heavy lifting, and picking & packing. Proficiency in warehouse operations, forklift operation, and warehouse management systems will enhance your ability to manage inventory effectively. Strong communication skills and computer literacy are essential for this role, along with proficiency in English.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in materials handling
  2. Proficiency in warehouse operations and inventory control
  3. Forklift certification
  4. Ability to manage warehouse inventory efficiently
  5. Skilled in stocking and inventory control
  6. Capable of heavy lifting and physical work
  7. Experience in shipping and receiving procedures
  8. Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
  9. AS400 familiarity for warehouse management
  10. Valid driver's license for van driving duties

Job Type: Temp to perm

Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour

Additional pay:
