About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing our suite of verifiable identity services that make it easier for developers to build secure, user-centric applications. You will focus on server-side development, creating APIs and tools that enhance the developer experience and support seamless integration of digital identity solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable server-side code for our suite of tools, supporting DID resolution and verifiable credential verification.
  • Design and build developer-friendly APIs that simplify the integration of identity services.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure that our services are easy to use and meet developer needs.
  • Work with product management to introduce new features and improve existing services, always with a focus on enhancing the developer experience.
  • Manage the complete software development lifecycle of services, from initial design through to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Serve as an advocate for high-quality developer experiences, contributing insights and expertise in decentralized identity and IAM.
  • Play a role in shaping Vidos' product strategy, with a focus on creating a cohesive, intuitive, and high-performing suite of services.
Role Requirements
  • Senior experience in software engineering, with a focus on server-side development and creating tools and APIs for developers.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript (preferred), or JavaScript.
  • Experience in roles focused on developer experience (DevEx / DX) or similar areas where building tools for developers is a priority.
  • Hands-on experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of how server-side services are utilized by developers and experience in building backend services with usability in mind.
  • Familiarity with the digital identity space and IAM (Identity and Access Management).
  • Exposure to W3C Verifiable Credentials and OpenID for verifiable credentials.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in a developer tools company or similar environment focused on creating products and services for developers.
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment where flexibility and initiative are essential.
