About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Game Designer to join our passionate and experienced Rebellion North team.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of designers and contribute to the development of high-quality games that showcase our creative vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of designers to deliver high-quality gameplay experiences.
  • Collaborate with design directors to balance creative vision with production realities.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver the creative vision on time.
  • Oversee the work of a project design team and mentor designers in all aspects of their role.
  • Regularly review team work against the design brief and provide actionable feedback to make improvements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule and plan delivery of team work over the lifecycle of a project.
  • Verify the quality of design in the game and provide feedback to designers and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Plan and conduct gameplay evaluations with the design director and team to fine-tune and improve the game.
  • Ensure correct documentation workflows and processes are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of people management best practices.
  • Broad business knowledge of the company structure, operations, and strategy.
  • Expert knowledge of the video game development process, including working in a timely and time-bound manner.
  • Excellent knowledge of production pipelines.
  • Professional experience working with Unreal Engine and Blueprints.
