Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our web development team, you will be responsible for designing and building complex websites for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multiple websites to client specifications, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to determine website needs and provide regular updates to the Web Project Manager.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class plug-ins and applications to enhance website functionality.
  • Maintain websites by checking for errors and broken links, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with website accessibility standards and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Work closely with the Web team to deliver websites on time and within budget, meeting client expectations.
  • Log and track code updates using online repositories, ensuring version control and collaboration.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Communicate regularly with the project manager and clients to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in front-end designing and back-end development, with a strong understanding of web development principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of building WordPress CMS websites using best practices and industry-standard plugins.
  • Experience creating plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards.
  • Commercial acumen and enthusiasm for delivering high-quality projects that meet client needs.
