The Role

We are seeking an Intermediate Java Developer to join our Agile scrum team working on an industry-leading, cloud-based utilities platform. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your Java skillset in a supportive and energizing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software as part of a self-organizing, multi-disciplined scrum team
  • Follow and continuously improve established engineering practices as part of a tier 1 delivery organization
  • Ensure a focus on quality through code reviews, development testing, and maintaining our automated test suite
  • Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, refinement, planning, and retrospectives
  • Continually grow within your role through personal training and development
  • Guide and support more junior team members
  • Provide a link between technical and non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Recognize gaps in our product and ways of working, then propose and support improvements
Experience Required
  • 3+ years commercial Java software development experience
  • Working knowledge of Agile
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies and concepts including Object Oriented Design, Java or.Net experience, AWS, and SQL Databases
  • Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, the Utilities industry
